Mid-Summer Recap

A post on this blog is long overdue. My camera broke and pictures from my phone take way to long to upload to google (and it's even an android!) so, this update will only take the form of text.

-I started working at a daycare at the beginning of June, I loved it, and then it wasn't so great, so I quit on Monday. My last day was Friday. I have no idea what I'm going to do now, but at least I'm happy.

-July 4th was wonderful. We spent the morning trying to find the Westport town parade. And then we accidentally drove right into the middle of it. People were waving and clapping as we drove by, I've never felt more famous. In the evening we went to Plymouth to watch fireworks. The famous "Plymouth Rock" turned out to be much smaller than anticipated, but the town itself was very fun and I'm excited to go back one day and explore.

-At some point during July, we took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. This was the first time we took our own bikes. We swam, picnicked, shopped and biked. We found a beautiful ride along the edge of the island that I'm excited to take all of our visitors to see.

-Ryan's aunt and uncle came to visit during this last month as well. They treated us very well and we were able to try a new seafood restaurant. I tried swordfish for the first time and fell in love but I think the favorite dish of the evening was Ryan's lobster mac and cheese. mmmm.

-We went to Utah for my sister-in-law's wedding. I loved that every single part of the ceremony and the reception was very personal to the bride and groom. From the chess-board dance floor, to the wedding cake based off of a favorite childhood story, every detail was meaningful. I was so glad I could be a part of it.

    1. I know, we didn't see anyone at all really though. There was so much I wanted to do, but this trip was so quick - we barely had time to sleep! There will be time in December though:)
