Amelia at four months

In an effort not to abandon this blog completely, I give you pictures of my darling Amelia. She is four (almost five) months old and I love her more and more every day. She weighs 13 pounds, sleeps 11 hours every night without waking up, she laughs, coos, loves receiving kisses, and blows bubbles all day long. Reading a book or singing a song always makes her smile. She still has super sensitive skin (just like mama!) and we go to the doctor at least once a month because of new bumps or rashes. She makes friends with everybody in line at the grocery store, she tried cantaloupe on Sunday (her first food!) and licked her lips for probably 20 minutes afterward.

My favorite thing in the world is getting her from her crib after naps, she lets out a big HA! and breaks into smiles.

Amelia has the funniest hairline right now from sleeping, sitting, and all of her scalp treatments, but if you look closely, her hair is coming in so light and we have no idea where that's coming from.

She never falls asleep while we hold her anymore. So this was a sweet moment with Aunt Jen who came to visit from Portland. It's funny how frustrated I used get when she would only sleep in my arms, and now that she sleeps in her crib, I miss those late night cuddles.

Jen and Timm came to visit from Portland, we took this picture right before they went home.

For our ward Halloween party, Amelia dressed up as little red riding hood, Ryan was the wolf, and I was the Granny.

Grandpa Jack, Dian, and Ralph all came to visit in October. Amelia loved the attention.

And here is our sweet girl lounging around on her very first Halloween.

Thanks for reading!

Amelia at 2 months

My little Amelia has changed so much. I love her smiles when I greet her in the morning and I love how much she laughs for her dad. Amelia loves looking at the chandelier in our new apartment and whenever I sing her lullabies she coos along with me.

Summer Vacation in Salt Lake City

When Amelia was just 4 weeks old, we flew home to SLC for a family reunion and wedding. We were there for 3 weeks. Here are some pictures.

Meeting grandpa

and another uncle and aunt and excited cousins

meeting another grandpa

and great-grandma

and even more cousins.

Amelia was blessed by papa Ryan while we were in Salt Lake. The blessing was beautiful and Amelia was such a doll in her little pioneer dress that was found tucked away at my parent's cabin.

Welcoming Baby

We had a baby! Amelia Sue arrived June 27 at 11:01 pm. Her birth was an amazing, miraculous experience. I'm still taking it all in. As for baby Amelia, she's perfect and has brought with her the sweetest little spirit. I'm just feeling really grateful and so completely happy.

Big News!

We're moving to Pittsburgh!

Ryan was offered a new position within his company that we couldn't refuse so we'll be making our way to PA sometime this summer. We are really excited but honestly, until this baby comes, moving is the furthest thing from my mind. I did find this link  to a Pittsburgh City Guide which got me super stoked about moving to a big city (at least bigger than where we are right now) but I have a feeling that once we're gone I'll be missing the farms and beautiful landscapes that we've grown so accustomed to in small-town Dartmouth. Let the madness begin!
