Cranberries!

On Saturday we went to the cranberry harvest festival in Wareham while my sister was in town. I've been looking forward to this festival for a couple of weeks and I was excited when I found out that Rachel would be coming with us. The weather was great, the cranberries were beautiful, and we learned more than I think any of us thought we would.

When we arrived, school buses picked us up from the festival area and took us to the bogs where they harvest the cranberries.

We found ourselves surrounded by lakes of red berries with the dense green forest as its backdrop. It was beautiful.

Then we watched as the cranberries were collected, vacuumed, and then spilled into massive trucks.

Ryan said, "We're probably looking at them pick our future craisins" (I love craisins)

Anyway it was quite a sight to see. I tried harvesting my own, but it was messy and wet. Next time I'll bring a bag. And maybe my waders:)

It was a great day. Thanks for coming rachel!

Tomorrow we're headed to Pittsburgh to see our beloved Utes play. I've never been to Pittsburgh and I'm excited to have Ryan show me around.

Have a good weekend!
