Ryan served his mission here and took me up and down the hilly streets of his former areas...(san fran has nothing on this city) and we were sure to take a picture of "Sarah St." (He already sent me a picture of it when he was on his mission but this time I get to be in it:)
Then we took a drive down Carson street and we found the epitome of my perfect shop...the Milkshake factory. We had to pull over and we seriously had the best milkshake I have ever tasted. It was chocolate raspberry and it was so so yummy.
We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the city and telling mission stories. It's funny how much I'm still learning about my husband. We had fun walking around the Pitt campus and my favorite part was the cathedral of learning (which looked just like hogwarts btw)
This pic is from wikipedia ... I didn't have my camera for this part:( |
I took the following picture from inside our little cabin. Though it's not a great picture, the ride made for a pretty great view.
The next day we left our hotel early, got stuck in traffic, then arrived at Heinz field just in time to see the stadium before the Utah/Pitt football game.
From the moment we walked in, Ryan was in heaven.
Ryan loves the Steelers so this was perfect for him.
