Look what we ate last night

In our best effort to make butternut squash ravioli, this is what we came up with...
I laughed as we pulled them out of the boiling pot of water, one-by-one, with our tongs.
And they tasted just as slimy as they look. I told Ryan, "I feel like I'm eating a snake."

But despite the sad result, these were actually really fun to make. I really enjoy cooking and learning about new ways to work with food. And it's even better when Ryan gets a chance to help. Sometimes we have a breakthrough and make really good food, but sometimes all we end up with is just really squishy pasta, but some really awesome memories...and that's fine with me:)

p.s. maybe one day I'll tell you about the time we tried making custard...yikes! I'm still finding it on our walls!
