Horseneck Beach

I think I'm beginning to understand the beauty of visiting the beach in off season; free admission, zero traffic, almost complete privacy, and in May (at least this year) it's not too cold.

Sunday we had a picnic dinner on a beach in the neighboring town of Westport. We ate BLTs and apples and watched the sun begin to set. It was simply splendid.

Yesterday, as we drove home from Ry's hockey game, we talked about our plans for the coming summer; it seems like almost every weekend is booked! Our summer is slowly filling up with camps, work, visits to see family, youth conference, etc. While those plans are all so fun and great, I just hope we get the chance to have some good quality time in this lovely part of the world that we've come to adore. I don't want the next few months to pass too quickly.
